On Palace Confidential this week:
The controversy surrounding an old interview given by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is a case of trying to “rewrite history”, according to Richard Eden of the Daily Mail.
After senior BBC journalist Mishal Husain questioned Meghan Markle’s claims that an engagement interview was an “orchestrated reality show”, Eden says not only should we not let Markle change the narrative, but we should also look at other discrepancies in the chat and whether the Palace should have been more cautious with Harry’s fiancée.
The panel also looks at claims that Vice President Kamala Harris could offer Meghan a job in her new administration IF she wins the election. Richard Eden believes it would cause “terminal damage to Anglo-American relations”, while the Mail on Sunday’s Natasha Livingstone says it would be a “real headache” for the “apolitical” British royal family.
