A man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl has been sentenced to life in prison.
Adam Baillie kidnapped the young girl as she returned home from primary school in Harrow.
He then took her to his property where he seriously sexually assaulted her.
The victim escaped and was helped by neighbors who called the police.
Yesterday at Harrow Crown Court, the 39-year-old man was found guilty of kidnapping and sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl he did not know.
Baillie, of Spring Way, Harrow, was also convicted of actual bodily harm.
He was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum sentence of 10 years.
PC Georgia Devaney-Brighton, who was the Sexual Offenses Investigative Techniques Officer at the investigation, said: “Today we achieved justice for this brave girl and I hope the severity of the sentence can bring some comfort to her and her family. “.
