Pedophile MP is taken to hospital with head injuries after being brutally beaten behind bars
Disgraced former NSW Labor Minister Milton Orkopoulos has been rushed to hospital with head, body and leg injuries after being beaten in jail.
Corrective Services NSW said its agents discovered the 65-year-old with suspected head injuries at Long Bay’s Metropolitan Special Programs Centre, in southern Sydney, at about 12.15pm on Tuesday.
“A 65-year-old prisoner has been treated in hospital following an attack on the Metropolitan Special Programs Center in Long Bay,” they told the The Sydney Morning Herald.
“Corrective Services NSW takes great care in determining the correct security ratings and placements for inmates to maintain the safety and security of our prisons.”
It is understood that Orkopoulos was being treated for head, leg and body injuries at Prince of Wales Hospital, where he was staying on Wednesday.
NSW Police are investigating the incident.
