More than 30,000 people have been evacuated, often leaving with only their small pets and the T-shirts they were wearing.
And DailyMail.com has learned that many of the super-rich have flocked to luxury hotels in nearby Beverly Hills that charge $700 a night to stay comfortable.
Several top hotels, including the Beverly Hills Hotel, Four Seasons Beverly Hills, Peninsula Hotel and Waldorf Astoria, are sold out.
A source told DailyMail.com they struggled to get high-class accommodation.
‘I evacuated early and called the Hilton immediately. They had about 2 rooms left. “I feel lucky that I was able to get in,” said Lisa Ann, a long-time Palisades resident.

‘Someone was already looking for a new house on Realtor.com and said they were going to Utah or Oregon. Everyone is shocked. They want to leave California.
