A man and woman have been rushed to hospital after being struck down by a car in a suspected hit-and-run in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services arrived at Cygnus Close, Doonside, shortly before 9pm on Monday following reports of a “neighborhood dispute”.
A 41-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were hit by an SUV and are now both in Westmead Hospital.

The woman suffered serious head injuries while the man, who is fighting to survive, was injured in the head, chest and leg.
The 27-year-old man who was driving the SUV fled on foot but was arrested a short time later, 7 News reported.
He remains in police custody at Blacktown Hospital and charges have not yet been laid.
