P-plate friend of Nick Kyrgios’s girlfriend caught stealing petrol during drug addiction

A hairdresser friend of Nick Kyrgios’ model girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi, has been fined $2,300 after admitting to repeatedly driving without a license and stealing gas while in the grip of alcohol and cocaine addiction.

Bianca Griffin, 22, was arrested driving with a suspended license six times between August 2021 and January 2023 after she was seen on CCTV filling up her white Holden Commodore at a Kingsford petrol station near her home in eastern Sydney.

On several occasions, the hairdresser-in-training, who had a two-year probation order from May 2020 after being convicted of a dangerous driving offense, was caught filling up her tank and sped off without paying.

The suspended P-plater was also caught driving during random highway stops, including once when an undercover cop noticed his car swerving this way and that blocking other vehicles.

Dressed in black trousers, a white collared shirt and blazer, Griffin had the support of her mother and an Aboriginal supporter when she appeared at Waverley Court on Friday, where she pleaded guilty to 10 offences.

Shortly after the group sat down in Court 2, her mother placed her Louis Vuitton bag on the floor and looked around the gallery before turning to the support worker and saying, “She (Griffin) is the (person) better dressed here.”

A tearful Griffin appeared flustered throughout the hearing as she stared thoughtfully at the wall and repeatedly whispered to her mother.

The court heard that Griffin’s license had been suspended pending his completion of the Increased Traffic Tickets Knowledge Test when he had to drive three times in August 2021.

“In a clumsy way, every time you fill up with fuel, that gets captured on CCTV. Police then followed him and asked “who is driving, and if not you, who is it?” Magistrate Ross Hudson said.

It is an unavoidable detection.

It is the same service station. Same vehicle.

Griffin’s attorney told the court that she is a second-year hairstylist trainee and earns less than $20 an hour. She said that at the time of the crimes, her life was falling apart due to a drug addiction.

In a statement delivered to the court, Griffin said she was “sorry and saddened by his mistakes and behavior.”

“He was suffering from anxiety and depression due to an addiction to alcohol and cocaine,” said the statement, read by Justice Hudson.

‘I’ve been clean for a year.

I apologize for my behavior and I want to put this behind me.

Griffin also told the court that he was dealing with ongoing trauma from watching his mother suffer a violent domestic relationship when he was young.

In handing down her sentence, Justice Hudson described Griffin’s offense as “out of control” and urged her to seek help to deal with past traumas and get her life back on track.

‘Don’t try to cheat the system. You have to go back to Roads and Maritime Services. Only they can tell you if you can drive,” he said.

You already know if you have a license.

Now tell the court you’re sober, there’s no excuse for it.

Griffin seems to mingle in high-profile circles, with models, businessmen and footballers among his more than 4,000 Instagram followers.

The long list of celebrities includes businesswoman Jade Spooner, late NRL star Bronson Xerri, Rabitohs’ Jacob Host, Bulldogs player Kyle Flanagan, Brisbane Broncos hooker Nita Maynard, Roosters winger Brydie Parker, Sharks running back Braydon Trindall and famed sports trainer Roger Fabri.

In April 2021, Griffin posted a black-and-white photo online of her kissing Hatzi on the cheek while the pair were out drinking with friends.

In response, Hatzi wrote: “I love you,” one of many comments the influencer has sprinkled among Griffin’s photos on her Instagram page.

The court also heard that Griffin was a talented footballer. Last year, he also placed first at the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) Australasian Elite Championships in the Open Wellness and Beginner Wellness divisions, as well as second in Beginner Wellness.

“We cleaned her up, I’m so proud of her,” one trainer wrote online after her April 2022 win.

According to court documents obtained by Daily Mail Australia, Griffin drove to the AMPOL petrol station around 3pm on August 8, 2021, which was his birthday, with 62.77 liters (or $94 worth) of fuel.

CCTV captured her constantly looking up at the attendant while in the Bowser, before getting back into her car and speeding off.

A week later, he pulled the same stunt at the same gas station around 9:28 a.m., this time taking off and owing $96.

Later that day, she was spotted driving recklessly on Bunnerong Road in Matraville by an undercover police officer before accelerating and taking off north and out of sight.

The officer looked up his license plate at work and realized that it was suspended. By chance, he saw her driving two days later, on August 17, down Jersey Road in Matraville.

He drove to her address, where she had just gotten out of her car, and confronted her about the suspension, to which she replied, “I got it back the same day as my mom.”

Griffin completed the test on Aug. 24 and his suspension was lifted, but found himself in trouble again the next day after sped off with $112 worth of fuel from the same gas station.

After getting her license back, she was suspended again between May 24 and August 23, 2022, after losing demerit points due to camera detection violations.

However, she was arrested driving again at 5:50pm on July 22, this time in a black Hyundai Sedan on Anzac Parade, but told officers she did not have her license because she “left it at work”.

After checking his records, they determined he was suspended and slapped him with a court attendance notice.

In the most recent offence, Griffin was driving a black Hyundai Getz on Botany Road in Kingsford at around 1:50pm when he pulled up to the curb.

Police noticed her and took her into custody, and the fitness fanatic was asked to present his license. She handed it over, only for the police to find out after running it through the system that it appeared suspended.

On Friday, Griffin pleaded guilty to three counts of robbery, four counts of driving while suspended, two counts of failing to disclose details to police and negligent driving (no death or serious bodily harm).

Her license has been disabled for six months until August 23 and she has been sentenced to a Community Correction Order for one year.

Under the CCO conditions, you must not commit any crime and must abstain from alcohol and drugs for six months.
