Arne Slot has made a good start as Liverpool manager.
His team, the Reds, sit top of the Premier League table after winning five of their first six games.
Liverpool also got off to a good start in Europe, beating AC Milan 3-1 in Italy in the first round of Champions League matches.
However, former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes Liverpool are unlikely to win either competition unless they make a key signing.
Hargreaves believes Slot is currently missing a holding midfielder, after Liverpool sold Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in recent years.

Liverpool won 2-1 at Wolves in their sixth match of the Premier League season on Saturday.
Ryan Gravenberch has played as Liverpool’s most defensive midfielder so far this season, but Hargreaves is not convinced the Dutchman is good enough to play that role against elite opposition.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Hargreaves said: “He’s done brilliantly well, but he’s not a defensive midfielder, which is fine when you’re playing against teams like this that you can beat.”

“I think he is a brilliant midfielder, he is a box-to-box player, depending on who you play against. But I think that in an important game, in a single game, to win the Premier League or the Champions League, I think you need a specialist. Liverpool showed it with Fabinho or Manchester City showed it with Rodri.
‘I still think they will address their position. But you have to give Gravenberch credit, he took his chance and that’s all he needs.
“That’s what you need as a player, you need someone who trusts you and he has shown that.” I still think that tougher tests will come. “I love what he’s doing, but I still think they’re going to go find someone.”

But Owen Hargreaves believes Liverpool need to sign a Gravenberch replacement.
Gravenberch was one of Liverpool’s best players during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Wolves.
He made three tackles, won four free throws and completed 92 percent of his 62 passes.
