Outsider Stellar Story won the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at odds of 33-1, handled by Sam Ewing, much to the chagrin of Harry Redknapp.

The mount overtook Redknapp’s The Jukebox Man in the final leg of a dramatic race that the former Spurs manager’s horse apparently got into the bag.

Dancing City finished third, with favorite Readin Tommy Wrong well behind the pack.

Redknapp looked devastated to have missed out on what would have been a surprise victory. The Jukebox Man started the day at odds of 18/1 with Paddy Power.

Sam Ewing said: ‘Absolutely brilliant. He is a horse that jumps very well, today he loves that terrain, he fought very hard for me. He was brilliant. I can not believe it.

Harry Redknapp was devastated to miss out on a surprise victory when his horse, The Jukebox Man, was beaten at the post.

‘The way the week went, you think that will never happen. Incredible.

‘Fair play to the horse. He stuck his head out and struggled to the end of the line.

This was Stellar Story’s first win and Gordon Elliott smiled after the surprise victory, although he had predicted beforehand that his mount would be in the fight.

Redknapp told BBC Radio 5 Live: “But what a race.” It was a great race. We have a good horse and the last one jumped well, but that’s racing.

‘Yesterday we got home, today we got lost, but we had two great races with two beautiful horses. I’ve had a fantastic couple of days.

“If you had said that by coming here I would have a winner and one that works so well, I would have accepted it.”

Redknapp has already tasted success at Cheltenham thanks to his horse Shakem Up’Arry.

On day three, Redknapp was delighted when his horse Shakem Up'Arry won, but was unable to repeat the feat with The Jukebox Man on the final day.

He roared with joy when Shakem Up’Arry won the TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase on day three.

The Redknapp-owned horse started the race at odds of 9/1 and took the lead in the closing stages, brilliantly jumping the final jump to extend his lead ahead of Crebilly and Straw Fan Jack.
