A video circulating on Instagram showing a father swinging his baby sparked outrage among doctors and social media users.
He 35 second video It appears to show the father performing acrobatics with his son, swinging him by his arms back and forth, over his head and between his legs.
Commenters on Twitter and Instagram were quick to criticize the stunt, pointing out not only the danger to your baby’s joints but also the risk of brain injury.
It could also have caused the baby to fall, potentially killing him.
The video was titled “A bond between father and son,” but thousands of commenters commented that it looked more like child abuse.
Doctors were also baffled by the video.
The 35-second video shows the father rocking his baby back and forth, which could cause the baby to dislocate his elbow or suffer shaken baby syndrome.
Conor McGregor’s trainer John Kavanagh reposted the video initially posted on Instagram: “What a stupid thing.” Even if you “only” make a mistake once every 1000 perfect times, that’s a traumatic injury plus a brain shake.
‘How many idiots will try to replicate this for a few likes and crush their baby?’ I probably shouldn’t even share it. Do not do this.’
They said lifting a baby by the arms without back support can cause a pulled elbow, in which the elbow joint dislocates the forearm.
It can also cause a traumatic brain injury, possibly due to the brain moving back and forth in the skull, and if the baby were to fall on its head.
Dr. Stuart Fischer, an internist and former emergency department pediatrician, said, “I would assume legally and morally that the baby should have a CT scan or an MRI.”
“And that may not even show a microscopic brain injury.”
The action of rocking your baby back and forth can cause shaken baby syndrome, a serious head injury caused by the baby’s brain bouncing back and forth in his or her skull.
It causes brain bruising and swelling and possibly brain hemorrhage.
It is not clear how old the baby is, but his approximate age could be less than a year.
At that point, the baby’s skull has not completely closed around the brain or hardened, protecting it from impact.
Between 1,000 and 3,000 babies suffer from shaken baby syndrome every year in the United States, and a quarter of them die.
Eighty percent of them suffer permanent brain damage.
Shaken baby syndrome can cause serious long-term effects, including cerebral palsy, blindness, hearing loss, learning problems, seizures, paralysis, and death.
It can occur with as little as five seconds of shaking, and 35 seconds is likely to cause much more damage.
Dr. Fischer said, “Doing that is a mental illness, what kind, who cares?” It could be considered a crime.
‘Certainly, he does not understand what a precious gift he has. He needs at least extensive instruction and advice.

The general public was also outraged, with more than 80,000 comments online, many of them similar to one that said: “No way, it’s not legal.” Poor baby’ and ‘I will consider this child abuse as child harm, child neglect, all of the above.’
‘Parenting classes are needed and CPS must get involved [sic] Babies are delicate and helpless, but you would play with a child like that as if he were a fidget toy. This is so horrible.’
