Reflecting on the decision to invite the cameras to her house, Danielle admitted that they had been nervous, but the gang immediately “got back into the swing of things.”
She explained: “It felt strange not having cameras to capture life while we were away because we were so used to it.” But I feel like we know what we’re doing now. We haven’t really skipped the beat.
In fact, viewers were devastated when the family revealed that they had decided to stop filming their popular reality show after eight seasons.
But it was the children themselves who became a major catalyst for the family’s decision to return to TLC.
Danielle recalled, “They were so used to seeing our team, soon they were just asking, ‘Where’s Uncle Brad? Where are the cameras? When are they coming back?’
‘I think because they started to understand that to see themselves on TV, you have to film. So they began to realize that, ‘Well, if we’re not filming, what are we going to see? … It was a unanimous decision to get the cameras back.’
Adam, 41, added: “The cool thing about this season is that every one of the girls is wearing a microphone now.” Now they are an important part of this program, having conversations and getting more involved in things. It’s been a lot of fun.
As viewers of the show will know, raising six children between the ages of eight and 12 is no easy task, and Danielle admitted that the couple often still feels as “overwhelmed” as they did when they welcomed their 30th for the first time. time.

“I think we still feel overwhelmed all the time,” he laughed. “We look around and it’s like, ‘Okay, this is it. This is real, we have six kids.'” Life can still be overwhelming, but I think we just have to go with what we have right now. You can only do so much and we are outnumbered. Let’s go girls!”
And as most would imagine, the cost of raising a calf this large is not for the faint of heart.
“We’re spending $800-$1,000 a week just buying groceries for all the sports stuff and their lunches. I mean, it’s expensive.
Adam then joked about his endless chores and Danielle added: ‘Laundry day at our house, it’s every day! It’s 10 minutes an hour, every hour.
Meanwhile, the couple are no strangers to the criticism they face online from other parents who don’t agree with filming their children at such a young age, but the couple are careful to distance themselves from seeing hateful comments.
Adam explained: ‘You have to find out if someone is unhappy and hates. If so, just block and delete. We want to separate ourselves from anyone who tries to rob us of the joy of life.
‘But if it’s something that’s a legitimate accusation, then I’ll step up and respond and defend myself. Say why we made that decision or whatever. Just explain our point of view with him. If they still want to hate you or just accuse you of something that’s not true, then get them out of there.’
One thing the couple is adamant about is that they will not pressure their daughters to become young social media influencers.
When asked if they would allow tween Blayke to start creating content on her own individual account, Danielle made it clear she wasn’t keen on the idea, but admitted, “We’ll get there when we get there.” I’m not there yet so I don’t know.

Pushing: Adam explained that the couple tries to ignore the criticism they face online from other parents who don’t agree with filming their children
Adam explained: ‘Obviously there’s a lot of things that Mum and Dad have seen and we’ve learned. It’s going to take a long, slow process to make sure she’s capable enough and mature enough to deal with it, because not everything is glamorous.
‘It’s work and you also have to deal with the good and the bad. So for a teenager who’s not used to that, that’s difficult.’
When the show last aired, viewers were concerned about a mysterious illness that caused Danielle to be hospitalized due to autoimmune issues.
Sharing an update on her health crisis, the mother-of-six admitted that doctors still couldn’t “put an official title” on her problems.
“Autoimmune fights are annoying,” Danielle said. ‘You never know the ups and downs that are coming. It’s hard for me, it’s hard for Adam to deal with it and adjust.’
She continued: ‘But I’ve been on quite a journey working with my neurologist to help me with a lot of nerve problems, damage problems that I have. Migraines and muscular problems.
‘My body went into an immense amount of shock after I had them. I had heart problems and just my inflammation increased tremendously. But I’ve been put in good hands by the doctors and I’ve had a good trip, especially the last probably six to nine months.’

Elsewhere, the new season highlights how the couple is making things work now that Danielle is working at her boutique, while Adam runs the fort with the girls at home.
He explained: ‘I’ve been extremely involved anyway. That’s why I left my oil and gas career to work from home and do my own thing so we could start our own businesses and stuff.
‘When we get to the opening of the boutique, she has to be the face and she has to be there longer. We just line up because this is what we set things up for. Yeah. It’s a little harder trying to figure things out right now.’
Adam continued: ‘We’re doing a bit more divide and conquer. That’s kind of our house motto right now. It’s like, “Okay, I either take them all or you have these, I have these and we’ll conquer today.”
Conceived through intrauterine insemination (IUI), a procedure similar to IVF, the Busby girls were the first all-female quintuplets to be born in the US and the first in the world since 1969.
