A ousted veteran CBS reporter has written a long exposition claiming to reveal details about how the network squashed a Hunter Biden story.

writing about her websiteCatherine Herridge described the station’s investigation into the laptop as a “missed opportunity for CBS News”, suggesting that the station did not adequately report its findings.

Herridge said he told company executives that the laptop contained material about “a million-dollar advance from a Chinese energy company” along with text messages and business emails from Hunter in early October. 2020.

But later that month, during a 60 Minutes interview with then-President Trump, correspondent Lesley Stahl said the laptop “could not be verified,” according to Herridge. “While watching the broadcast, I felt bad,” he wrote.

It comes after two IRS whistleblowers sat down with Herridge for an interview and told him they were barred from investigating Joe Biden amid the government’s investigation into his son.

Herridge said he told company executives that the laptop contained material about “a million-dollar advance from a Chinese energy company” along with Hunter’s text messages and business emails.

Now, Herridge suggests that CBS did not adequately report what it found on the laptop.

“I had been tasked with examining the laptop and its contents after multiple platforms had suppressed the story,” Herridge wrote, adding that CBS News executive Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews tasked her with a “confirmed report” on Hunter Biden for Evening News anchor Norah. O’Donnel in October 2020.

‘Due diligence included working the phones, contacting the people in Hunter Biden’s emails for corroboration, and cross-referencing court records.

‘The examined documents I collected also indicated that the laptop belonged to Hunter Biden.

‘I told Ciprian-Matthews that the materials examined included a million-dollar advance from a Chinese energy company, emails with Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski, as well as text messages from Hunter Biden.

‘When Ciprian-Matthews asked me if there was a “Hunter connection”, I replied: “Yes, everyone.”

‘I then provided some of the examined records directly to Ciprian-Matthews. We spoke briefly on the phone. I don’t know at this point what happened next.

‘According to my reporting, and as the network’s chief investigative correspondent, in October 2020 the CBS News investigative unit was not tasked with developing further reporting on the laptop. That would have been common practice.

Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler sat down with veteran journalist Catherine Herridge for an interview in which they claimed that the IRS turns a blind eye when it comes to the country’s powerful elite, whom they call “sensitive people.”

Herridge said a 60 Minutes interview with then-President Trump later that month made her “feel sick” as CBS anchors told her the laptop “cannot be verified.”

“I knew the laptop records could be examined and confirmed,” he said.

‘I was confused by what seemed like a disconnect between the CBS News division and 60 Minutes.

‘It took two more years for the network to air a forensic review of the Hunter Biden laptop data.

‘I advocated for the report that determined that the data belonged to Hunter Biden and had not been manipulated.

“Our report was issued in November 2022, after the midterm elections.”
