How low can she go? Blac Chyna tops the worst-dressed list at the 2020 Oscars in a VERY revealing dress and bizarre makeup – while Janelle Monae and Sandra Oh turn up for the wrong reasons
- The 31-year-old arrived on Sunday evening at the award ceremony in a very low-cut dress with a thigh-high split
- She completed the daring ensemble with a bizarre makeup look that made her look rather plastic and – in combination with her shiny S-waves – gave the star the appearance of a doll
- She was not the only celebrity who missed the fashion brand at the 92nd Academy Awards
- Janelle, 34, wore a silver dress that looked like a metal Jedi outfit thanks to the large Jedi-like hood
- Meanwhile, Sandra suffered a rare fashion failure in a large number of pink tulle and sequins
The Oscars are the last major prize-giving ceremony of the season, so the famous visitors pull out all the stops to make sure they make a real statement on the red carpet.
Unfortunately, not everyone hits the nail on the head as far as fashion is concerned – with Blac Chyna on the list of worst-dressed stars at this year’s ceremony.
As always, the red carpet at the 92nd Academy Awards was filled to the brim with tailor crime, from deep necklines that exposed far too much flesh to flashy colors and puffy coats, with Chyna showing off a lot of skin in her barely ensemble there.
Oh dear: Blac Chyna topped the list of worst-dressed stars at this year’s Academy Awards in her very revealing ensemble
How low can you go? The 31-year-old star showed off a lot of skin thanks to her deep neckline and towering slit
Pout Patrol: Chyna’s make-up made her look rather plastic and, in combination with the shiny S-wave hairstyle, gave her the appearance of a doll
Do you feel the power? Janelle Monae looked like a mix between Tin Man and Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi in her silver hooded dress
Metal mania: the 34-year-old singer had a fairly large turning circle on the red carpet thanks to the full skirt, which was stiff rather than smooth
The black dress not only had a deep neckline that fell down to her navel, making full use of Chyna’s ability, it also had a towering slit that almost reached her hip – leaving little to her imagination and she could show off her large leg tattoos.
And as if that wasn’t enough for a red carpet statement, Chyna finished the look with rather bizarre makeup and a shiny S-wave hairstyle that gave her the appearance of a porcelain doll.
It is unclear exactly what Chyna’s connection with the ceremony is; the model is not nominated in one of the categories, nor is it supposed to be associated with any of the films involved.
Her presence certainly raised a few eyebrows on Twitter, where a number of users wondered why she was invited as a guest at the ceremony.
Flowers fail: Sandra Oh’s dress contained a large amount of tulle embellishment, making it almost comical
Over the top: the sleeves of the dress absolutely flooded the figure of the actress
Peek a boo? Olivia Colman’s dress had unbelievably bizarre cutouts under her shoulders that looked like they had been added to air her armpits
Unflattering: the cutouts and pleats of fabric that they created gave the dress a very unfinished look and did little to improve the figure of the crown star
“Blac Chyna is at the Oscars ?? And what did she do with her face? “One wrote, and the other added,” They just let someone in now, didn’t they? “
A third person commented: “Blac Chyna at the #Oscars who thought this day would come.”
However, the star was not the only participant who missed the mark on the red carpet during this year’s ceremony – quite the contrary.
Singer Aurora beat all the wrong notes in her very unique ensemble, which she combined with thick white sneakers, a very misplaced choice for such an elegant event.
Poor beige: the overall silhouette of the 1917 scriptwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns’ dress was flattering, although a bit large for her frame, but the washed-out gold-beige color made it look like it was colored with coffee
Pink puff pastry: the black Catriona Balfe dress was incredibly elegant and chic, but the addition of the swollen pink tulle overlay somewhat ruined the ensemble
Clumsy: Ryan Michelle Bathe also missed the target in her pleated flashy dress with a rather dated and showy print
