A man who was allegedly murdered while trying to break up an argument is being remembered as a “bright and aspiring” international student.
Navjeet Singh Sandhu, 22, from Melbourne, was allegedly stabbed after a fight broke out at a house in Ormond, in the city’s southeast, about 1.30am on May 5.
The fight left Mr Sandhu dead and another man, aged in his 30s, injured.
Police arrested two brothers, Abhijeet Abhijeet, 26, and Robin Gartan, 27, on Tuesday after being located in Goulburn, New South Wales.

Detectives traveled from Victoria on Tuesday ahead of a court hearing at Goulburn Local Court scheduled for Wednesday.
Investigators are expected to request the brothers’ extradition to Victoria.
Officers responding to reports of a disturbance outside Ormond’s home were confronted by two men with stab wounds.
A fight reportedly broke out at the property before the physical confrontation spilled onto the street around 1am.
The other man, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the men involved in the dispute knew each other.
