An organized mom of two known for sharing cleaning hacks with thousands online has revealed how to remove rust stains from stainless steel with white vinegar.

Carolina, from Perth, shared a video with her combined online following of more than 1.6 million people and removed a stain from the sink using the common pantry staple.

In the clip, a yellow stain is visible on the edge of the drain, but it was easily removed by filling the sink with vinegar and making sure the stain was completely submerged.

Carolina left the vinegar in the sink for a few hours to allow a chemical reaction to take place, then drained the vinegar and used a microfiber cloth to rub off the rusty stain.
