Oprah Winfrey will pay tribute to the iconic Tina Turner at Clive Davis’s second Grammy party

Clive Davis was forced to postpone his second Grammy party after being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy in February, but it should be worth the wait now that Oprah Winfrey will be honoring Tina Turner at the bash.

The 67-year-old media mogul pre-recorded her interview with Davis on Monday for the virtual soirée, which will take place in May, according to the New York Post

It’s unclear whether Turner himself, 81, who was featured in the HBO documentary Tina last month, will appear virtually at the party at this point.

Davis announced in January that he was hosting two Grammy virtual parties this year, instead of one in-person event, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first event took place in late January, featuring a curated selection of some of Davis’ favorite music performances, including Janis Joplin at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, Whitney Houston’s 10-minute medley at the 1994 American Music Awards, and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys play “Empire State of Mind” in Times Square in 2016.

John Legend, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson each performed at the bash, while Davis also interviewed Bruce Springsteen, Diddy, Alicia Keys, Barry Gibb, Chance the Rapper, David Foster, Gladys Knight and Carole King.

While no specific date has been given for the rescheduled virtual party, sources said it would happen sometime in May.

There’s no indication as to whether Oprah will be involved in other aspects of the party, with the first virtual bash lasting more than five hours.
