Fans are left stunned after witnessing Stephen Colbert’s impressive dance moves as he attended Gayle King’s 70th birthday party this weekend.
Gayle’s best friend Oprah hosted the surprise party where she and Stephen, 60, were caught on camera having a great time on the dance floor as Beyoncé song CUFF IT played.
The comedian looked suave in a navy blue suit as he commanded the room, spinning around and throwing his arms in the air as other guests looked on in amazement – including talk show host Oprah.
The 70-year-old looked stunning in a glittering gold jumpsuit and matching heels as she showed off some of her own moves.
When the footage was posted to Instagram, many people were quick to comment, with one person claiming: ‘Stephen Colbert is having the time of his life.’
A second said: ‘@stephenathome has real rhythm. I always loved him,” and a third commented: “He completely ate that floor.”

Another blunt Instagram user claimed, “Colbert has more rhythm than Oprah,” and someone else thought, “Oprah dances to different music or something.”
Gayle also posted several photos from her surprise party on Instagram and captioned the post: “@oprah is theeeeeeee best of the best! There will be no words to properly thank her for my 70th extravaganza.
“I feel like she gave me the party I wanted HER to have in January. It was a good old fashioned dance party with dancing, food and good friends.
“I rarely feel like the belle of the ball, but I sure did that night… still floating. PS special thanks to @djsussone who kept errrrebody on the dance floor,” the TV star added.
The star-studded event was held at Ci Siamo restaurant in Manhattan, and Gayle seemed genuinely shocked when she arrived and saw that her friends and family were all there.

Oprah shared a video of the moment Gayle jumped back in shock after realizing what was happening, writing on Instagram: ‘My best friend of 50 years is turning 70 so we gathered everyone who loved her to celebrate.
“It’s hard to surprise her, oh the stories we made up, the lies we told to keep this a secret. Congratulations @gayleking, sorry we almost gave you a heart attack.’
Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez also gave people a glimpse into the chic party and in a video posted to her Instagram Stories, at least 100 people were seen side by side in a chic lounge singing “happy birthday” to the beloved co-host of CBS Mornings.
“Happy surprise birthday @gayleking, @Oprah you made it happen,” the caption read, accompanied by a smiley face and red heart emoji.
