OnlyFans star Renee Gracie’s attempts to return to the racetrack have been labeled a ‘publicity stunt’ by V8 Supercars officials.

Renee, who retired from racing in 2017 to become a full-time porn star, made headlines last month when she announced her plans to buy her own racing team and compete in the upcoming Bathurst 1000.

Wednesday however, PerthNow reported that Renee’s big announcement was mocked by event organizers, with an official reportedly telling the paper, “It’s just a publicity stunt.”

“She’s just using the sport to sell more videos. It’s not even worth commenting on because it’s not going to happen,” she added.

Despite the backlash, Renee is confident that being a porn star driver is just what the sport needs to liven up its public image.

“There aren’t many women who have raced, let alone one who has raced and done porn before,” she told me. The Daily Telegraph in August.

At the time, Renee told the Telegraph she planned to spend nearly $1 million buying her own team, explaining, “I get offers every other day to race someone else’s car.”

Renee said she wanted to keep her own dream alive, which involved hoping to get a wildcard to the Bathurst 1000.

Wildcard entries are given to up-and-coming crowd pleasers or retired racers to draw more attention to the sport.

Renee later added that she hadn’t been able to watch an entire race in the past year, because of how “boring” the sport has become.

“I turn it off after a few laps because it’s repetitive and there’s not much going on. The sport was much better in action four or five years ago,” she added.

Renee was part of an all-female team that competed at Bathurst in 2015. Renee also raced Simona de Silvestro in 2016.

However, Renee retired from racing the following year after telling her to retire due to the high cost of the sport.

About her decision to quit Supercars, Renee told Daily Mail Australia in July last year that she “just couldn’t afford it anymore”.

“I had to come up with $600,000 a year to race,” she said. “I had to get my own sponsors and any crashes or scratches I got on the car I had to pay for myself.

“We had insurance, but the deductible was so high that the team bosses always told me, ‘Don’t crash, but if you do, write it off.’ A small crash can cost you $10,000. It’s a wild sport.’

Renee became a creator of OnlyFans in early 2020. In August of this year, the sportswoman claimed that she had made about $10 million on the adult entertainment website so far.
