OnePlus is making a new cheap tablet called OnePlus Pad Go, according to Digital trends. It will have an 11.6-inch 2.4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, according to the article, and will launch with OnePlus’ OxygenOS 13. However, it is unclear when it will arrive or for how much. OnePlus India X account teased what appears to be the tablet on Thursday, so it looks like the tablet will at least launch in India soon.
Digital trendsThe report was light on other details like storage or processor power, but it’s a decent bet that OnePlus gave it more modest specs than the OnePlus Pad that came out earlier this year. OnePlus president Kinder Liu is quoted as saying that it will be “a mid-level entertainment tablet.”
The Pad Go’s reported 2800 x 2000 resolution matches that of the OnePlus Pad, and it looks almost identical, with curved edges, an iPad-like bezel, and a large rear camera centered along the long edge. The biggest visible difference is the two-tone look on the back, as you can see in Digital trends’ mail on X, formerly Twitter:
Additionally, like the OnePlus Pad, the Pad Go will apparently get the company’s Apple-like ecosystem features that will let you sync content, copy and paste, and handle phone calls on OnePlus devices. The edgeDan Seifert said in his review of the OnePlus Pad that the high-performance tablet felt “a bit like a throwback to the old OnePlus.” We will see if the company’s budget reaches the same figure.
