At least one dead, three hospitalized after gunmen open fire in crowded parking lot outside California Trader Joe’s: Two suspects are in custody while emergency services perform CPR on another victim who ‘was shot in the chest’

At least one person has been killed and three others have been hospitalized after a shooting broke out in a crowded shopping center in West Hills, Southern California.
The dead man was 45 years old. The Los Angeles Police Department said the three other victims are a 35-year-old woman, a 35-year-old man and a 45-year-old man, all of whom are in serious or critical condition.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire near Fallbrook Street and Boyne Street at approximately 3:45 pm Saturday.
A citizen showed a heavy presence of police and emergency responders in the parking lot while shoppers watched as authorities combed the area for information.
Businesses were also seen cordoned off near the scene outside of Trader Joe’s, Chili’s restaurant and Bob’s Discount Furniture store.
One of the suspects reportedly fled the scene in a “red Honda Civic” before abandoning their car and jumping on a “black scion”.
Screenshots of the parking lot uploaded to Twitter by California News Watch Show emergency services treating at least one victim of a gunshot wound to the chest and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Two suspects are now in police custody. An item was reportedly flushed from the window of the vehicle the police were pursuing with units now responding to recover the item.
The circumstances that led to the shooting remain unclear as authorities continue to investigate.
