A lucky Australian who initially thought he had won $13 in the lottery was delighted to discover he had actually won $13.3 million.

The man in his 30s, from Lidcombe in western Sydney, was one of three division one winners in Tuesday night’s $40 million draw.

He initially believed he had only won $13, but after a second look he realized he would be splitting the huge jackpot with two other winners.

The businessman said he had no plans to retire or stop running his business after the big win.

“I’m going to keep working,” said the winner.

“I’m going to invest part of the prize in my business and help my family.”

He added that he was going to “have a bottle of champagne” to celebrate.

The winning numbers for Tuesday night’s drawing were 10, 15, 29, 31, 42, 5 and 13, while the supplemental numbers were 17, 40 and 39.

What he plans to do with his winnings is a far cry from the winner of last week’s record $150 million Powerball jackpot.

“I’m buying a house, I want to travel the world and I have family and friends I want to help, but at the moment I can’t understand how big this prize is,” said the huge jackpot winner, from Adelaide.

‘This changes life. I can’t stop smiling and pinching myself. I can’t believe my luck.’

The man said he was in shock when he first received the call from lottery officials.

‘I’m still pinching myself. I can not believe it. I’m the mystery winner. “I’m Australia’s biggest lottery winner,” he said.

He said it was late last night when he checked his tickets.

‘I checked the first one and found nothing, then I scanned the second one and it said $150 million. He had never screamed so loud or jumped so high,” he said.
