Some have chosen to pay permanent tribute to the One Direction star’s life with a tattoo of five arrows, matching one Liam had on his own arm.
The five arrows represent the five members of One Direction, while Liam had a tattoo of four arrows on the back of his arm. This design was thought to represent the other four members of the band.
The tattoo has been popular among One Direction fans for a decade, but TikTok users have been sharing a new version of the design, with the addition of angel wings.

She said: “I finally took the step of getting a One Direction tattoo, but in the saddest way possible – for Liam Payne.
“I always imagined it would be a happier time, not under these circumstances.
“I would have chosen a different time, a different reason, but now I feel good.”
“I am proud to have overcome the pain and cost to honor Liam in this way. “These tattoos will help me process my pain and keep his memory close.”

It comes as the singer’s heartbroken sister today vowed to ‘look after’ the One Direction star’s son Bear in an emotional tribute following his death.
In a heartbreaking Instagram post, the singer’s older sister Ruth revealed that she is “struggling” to cope with the loss of her “best friend,” who died on Wednesday.
Another said they had “finally gotten the tattoo” they had wanted for a long time, but with the addition of angel wings to pay tribute to Liam.
The 33-year-old shared several never-before-seen photos of Liam, whom she thanked for “changing my life” and for “being the best brother and friend I will ever have.”
Ruth ended the touching tribute by saying, “I’m sorry I couldn’t save you,” adding, “I would drive to the end of the universe to bring you back.”
Ruth is one of Liam’s two older sisters, making him the youngest of three siblings in the close-knit family, who on Thursday said they were “heartbroken” by his death.
