A woman has discovered the secret to successfully getting a large portion of food in a Chipotle bowl, but she has irritated some online posters.

Jewel Diaz, whose TikTok username is @jeweldiaz, posted a video on April 8 showing off her large plate of food while sitting in her car.
“I put my boyfriend’s name on my online Chipotle order because they give men bigger portions,” she wrote in her video.
The TikToker, who may have bought her plate from Chipotle in Florida, questioned whether her video with almost 5 million views, asked if what the restaurant was doing was misogynistic.
‘Chipotle fr needs to start using the same size scoops for everything because why is it different EVERY time?’ There is no consistency,” wrote one user.

Diaz claimed in her video that she used her boyfriend’s name when ordering online and questioned whether the portion was because employees thought the TikToker was a boy.
Díaz completed the caption of her video with two sad emojis and tagged the official Chipotle TikTok account.
Diaz apparently enjoyed getting a full serving of a Chipotle bowl and couldn’t help but dance in the driver’s seat of his car while eating.
It’s unclear if the Chipotle restaurant she went to served her the large plate because the employee thought she was a man.
However, the restaurant chain has had issues in the past regarding the alleged difference between its online and in-store orders.
Chipotle CFO Jack Hartung spoke with Eat this, not that! in 2020 about food portions and what they allow the chain’s customers to do.
“We don’t restrict what the customer can do, either in terms of portions or in terms of adding additional ingredients,” he said.
“But our portion sizes are much more consistent because there’s no one pointing at each pan… the team will see the way a customer looks at them and think, ‘Oh, I’d better put another spoonful in that.'”
Despite that, TikTokers who commented on the April 8 video called this idea “clever” and other users believe this secret is “smart” and “true.”
Chipotle has been criticized for issues with its online and in-store order sizes being different from each other.
Other TikTok users have shared their own experiences ordering food at Chipotle, and some of them claim to be current or former employees of one of their locations.
One user, who claimed to be a former employee in the comments section, mentioned an alleged secret about making food at the restaurant.
‘As a FORMER Chipotle worker, I have always been told that with mobile ordering, if they order “extra”, we give them regular size portions with a small spoonful of “extra” things. Because you can’t see how they are made,” he wrote.
A TikToker who claimed to be a Chipotle employee wrote in his comment that when he creates the food, he doesn’t read the names, he just places the order.
A few more alleged employees commented on the video with their opinions, but most TikTokers responded to the video with similar experiences.
“I asked for an extra spoonful and the lady literally gave me like 3 cubes of steak…I was upset,” one customer wrote.
Many noted that their gender-neutral names or when they use a traditionally masculine name, they get more food. One commenter noted: ‘Chipotle fr needs to start using the same size scoops for everything because why is it different EVERY time?’ There is no coherence.”
Another chimed in: ‘I always send my husband inside. When I go they don’t even give me a whole spoonful of rice. Don’t get me started on the chicken smh’
Finally, one commenter pointed out that the online ordering system changes its name, but she gets the same benefit.
‘My name is victoria but online it cuts to victor and it’s always LOADED,’ the user wrote.
