After the win, Louis looked stunned when he said, “It was the craziest show I’ve ever been to, but it was amazing!”

When asked how he found the show compared to The Masked Singer, he said, “I think this is obviously a lot more physical, but I’m definitely a better dancer.”

He also discussed keeping the big reveal from his friends and family a secret, saying, “It was pretty easy to keep it a secret, but it was hard not to tell my mom.”

Earlier in the show, Tamzin Outhwaite was unmasked as Scarecrow, Bonnie Langford as Squirrel, and Take That’s Howard Donald as Zip.

Singer Bonnie, 56, came in second and impressed the judges with her flexibility as a Squirrel, even doing the splits at the end of her performance.

As to why she decided to take up the challenge, she said, “Why not! I love the Masked Singer and this seemed even crazier.”

Discussing the secret of Squirrel’s identity, she added, “It was really hard, but somehow I’m making it. I’ve had to lie to friends and family outright.’

Meanwhile, guest judge Holly Willoughby, 40, struggled to contain her shock at Tamzin’s revelation, noting that the pair were “practically related” as Holly’s husband Dan Baldwin is Tamzin’s cousin.

Tamzin had hinted earlier on the show that she was behind the mask, saying her experience with the program had “exceeded all her expectations” in a nod to her starring role in the 2012 film Great Expectations.

When asked why she decided to take up the challenge, she said, “I was a fan of The Masked Singer and the judges and I loved the trick element of it.”

She also said it was difficult to keep her identity a secret, adding: “The secret gets harder as time goes on. I said I was doing a secret project and left it at that!’

About how she dealt with her nerves before the performance, she said: ‘A lot of nerves always, but the feeling that no one knows who you are is liberating. I feel a little more confident with the mask on, but I can’t breathe that well.’

Judges Oti Mabuse, Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall turned heads for the final as they took their seats alongside Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan.
