Olympian Aly Raisman admits that she is grateful that she finally has more ‘balance’ in her life, after she has officially withdrawn from professional gymnastics – but she admits that she is ‘still figuring out’ what she wants in the future. to target.
The 25-year-old announced in January that she would not return to training before the 2020 games, explaining that she needed some time to “appreciate what I experienced and learned” during her time as an elite athlete .
And that’s exactly what Aly is doing, with the Olympic medalist revealing to DailyMail.com that she uses her new freedom of training and competitions to “try new things,” from golf to tennis to horse riding.

Something new: the 25-year-old says she is still ‘figuring out’ what she wants to dedicate her time to now that she is not in training
“I look forward to having more balance in my life and trying new things!” she explained.
‘I am going to take golf lessons and I also take tennis lessons, which is so much fun! I am also interested in taking riding lessons. My younger sister Chloe did it for years and I am excited to be able to do something with her that she loves. ”
However, Aly is not something that Aly is used to; the former gymnast spent more than ten years training day in and day out for the two Olympic Games in which she eventually participated, and effectively spent all of her waking hours in the gym to pursue her medal goals.
Yet she enjoys the opportunity to find out what she likes to do during the downtime she is currently enjoying.
“I’m still figuring out what I like to do in my quiet moments when I’m home and that has been a lot of fun,” she commented.
However, Aly did not allow herself to be slackened precisely in the professional field while she took the time to concentrate on her personal life.
The former professional gymnast has collected an impressive summary of projects, including a role as a spokes model for Aerie, a book deal and – most recently – a cosmetics collection, Fierce van Aly, with a natural beauty brand LimeLife from Alcone.

Leader: She was also mentioned as a team captain in both years
Aly says the goal of her products is to help others “find their fierce” – something she says makeup always helped her do for competitions.
“Make-up helped me so much when I participated – it was extremely relaxing and therapeutic to apply make-up before competitions,” she recalls.
“I enjoyed applying different color linings and shadows. Make-up is a fun way to express yourself. I also have many wonderful memories of applying makeup with friends while listening to music and smiling. ”
When it comes to finding her own ‘fierce’ feeling in her daily life, Aly says she has all kinds of techniques, from sports to FaceTiming with her friends.
“I try to be fierce in my daily life by doing check-ins and seeing how I feel or what I need for that day,” she explained. ‘Maybe it’s a workout, taking a nap, doing a meditation, walking outside, dancing to my favorite song, writing FaceTiming a friend or writing a diary.
“For me, it can mean that you have the courage to take some time for yourself.”
Courage is something the Olympic medalist has proven to have had enough of; in January 2018, Aly stood face to face with the pedophile physician of the US Gymnastics, Larry Nassar, testifying against him, months after he revealed that she was one of his many victims.
New companies: since the departure of gymnatics, Aly has focused on a number of new projects, including modeling for Aerie and the launch of her own beauty line.
Something special: Fierce by Aly, released by LimeLife by Alcone, contains a series of products designed to help users find ‘their fierce’
In her impact statement to the court, Aly said: “Larry, you now realize that we, this group of women whom you have abused so heartlessly for such a long period, are now a force and you are nothing.
“The tables have been turned, Larry. We are here. We have our votes and we are not going anywhere. “
Since then she has been incredibly outspoken in her public criticism of USA Gymnastics and the way the organization deals with the Nassar case and its many victims, calling on the sports board for ‘unacceptable’ shortcomings.
But although for many she may seem like the most confident woman in the world, Aly says she still struggles with self-esteem every day, and admits that “self-confidence is something she works on every day.”
“I think life can be a roller coaster and on some days I feel confident and on other days not so much, which is normal,” she shared.
‘If I feel confident, I try to concentrate on what I do differently and to include that in my routine. By being in nature and around flowers I feel at peace, so I try to do that as much as possible.
“If you are struggling with self-confidence, know that this is normal. I believe that everyone in the world has had a kind of struggle.
New talents: Aly, who officially retired in January, told DailyMail.com that she has tried her hand at various sports, including golf and tennis
Different regions: she also revealed on Instagram that she has discovered a new passion for interior design
“I would recommend finding things that bring you joy. It can hang around and laugh with friends, be around animals, cook, play music, whatever it is – try to include that in your daily routine as much as possible.
“I also recommend talking to someone. It doesn’t have to be a therapist, it can be a friend, coach, family member or someone you feel comfortable with. If you don’t feel comfortable with that, that’s fine too. Try to write in a journal or keep a gratitude journal! “
Inspiring self-confidence and self-confidence form the core of Aly’s beauty line and when it came to naming her products, she turned to a series of quotes that give her strength, hoping to share the same feeling with her fans.
“I wanted this collection to be as authentic as possible,” she said. “LimeLife from Alcone is so supportive and incredible to work with because they really encouraged me to share my ideas and then brought those ideas to life. I appreciate them so much.
“Choose things you like about yourself” is a quote in one of the eye shadow palettes. I hope it is a reminder that we are all uniquely beautiful. Sometimes it can be so tempting and easy to select things that we don’t like about ourselves, but the goal is to remind us to select things that we like about ourselves.
“I also have a palette that says,” If you believe in magic, you’ll find it. ‘I love this quote and hope it inspires others to find the magic in their daily lives. ”
