Ayoub El Kaabi scored twice as Olympiacos beat Aston Villa 2-0 that night and 6-2 on aggregate.

Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League dream was crushed in Greece when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Olympiacos.

Goals in both halves from Ayoub El Kaabi, who had scored a hat-trick in the first leg, gave Olympiacos a 6-2 aggregate victory.

Unai Emery’s side seemed fed up with a demanding European and domestic campaign and were unable to assert their superior status against an impressive Greek team.

Olympiacos will face Fiorentina, who lost last year’s final to West Ham, on the big stage in Athens on May 29.
