Olivia Wilde is set to make her Broadway debut in the upcoming adaptation of the 1984 classic dystopia.

As news of her casting spread, Olivia tweeted, “So incredibly honored, and so excited to help tell this relatable horror story on Broadway this summer.” Come check it out! # 1984 Play.

The Tron: Legacy actress will star alongside Tom Sturridge and Red Birney in the limited engagement play, which premieres at New York City’s Hudson Theater on May 18, according to The Guardian. Broadway.com.

The 33-year-old star — who was born in 1984 and caught attention in 2004 as Alex Kelly on the TV series The O.C. — will play Julia in the story while villainous Tom O’Brien is portrayed and Reid appears in the form of her character’s hapless love interest, Winston Smith.

The play is based on George Orwell’s classic book, published in 1948, which predicted a dystopian future in which a totalitarian government would suppress all critical thought.

Winston and Julia are the doomed vandals trying to rebel against the system in this deadly future shock society.

Considered the British author’s masterpiece, Orwell’s novel was adapted as a motion picture in 1984, starring John Hurt, and was also the inspiration for a popular commercial for Apple computers.

Olivia, who voices Charlotte Moore on the cult-favorite BoJack Horseman animated series and whose vocals were most recently heard on the Fox series Son Of Zorn, is also slated to appear in the 2018 feature film Life Itself.

The upcoming drama will feature a cast that also includes Oscar Isaacs, Samuel L. Jackson, Mandy Patinkin, Annette Bening and Olivia Cooke.

Life Itself is directed by Dan Fogelman, who most recently directed Danny Collins with Al Pacino, and who also wrote the screenplays for such films as the rom-com Crazy Stupid Love, Disney’s Rapunzel re-do Tangled, and all three installments of the Pixar animated franchise.

Behind the scenes, it looks like Olivia is about to fall behind.

In real life, the New York native got engaged to actor Jason Sudeikis in 2013.

The couple now have two children: son Otis Alexander, who turns three in April, and daughter Daisy Josephine, who is now six months old.
