Olivia Dunne showed off her impressive baseball knowledge on Tuesday night when she hit the red carpet at the MLB All-Star Game with boyfriend Paul Skenes.

Dunne, an LSU gymnast, became familiar with baseball through her relationship with Skenes, who previously pitched at LSU and now stars for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

And the social media star rose to the occasion when Skenes asked him if he knew how to catch a fastball.

In the interview with Rob Friedman of FanDuelDunne asked Skeknes if he meant a four-seam ball.

“Look, I already know that,” she said.

Dunne then attempted a four-seam grip, while Skenes lightly pointed out to him that he was using three fingers incorrectly.

Dunne responded that she was “more of a splinker type,” referring to Skenes’ rare hybrid of splitter and sinker.

The Pirates rookie, who started for the National League All-Star team on Tuesday, impressed in one inning of action by recording a scoreless frame.

Dunne was seen going crazy cheering on Skenes when he got Aaron Judge to ground out for the final out of the inning.

The 22-year-old is just the fifth rookie pitcher to start an All-Star Game in the event’s 94-year history.

The last rookie pitcher to start an All-Star Game was Hideo Nomo of the Dodgers in 1995.

Skenes, the first overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, is off to an incredible start in his professional career, posting a 1.90 ERA in 66.1 innings to date.

Meanwhile, Dunne recently announced she will be returning to LSU for a fifth year on the gymnastics team.
