Olivia Dunne has opened up about her relationship with MLB prospect Paul Skenes and why she thinks they are a “really good match” as a couple.
Dunne and Skenes, both 21, first went public with their romance in August after the LSU gymnastics sensation was spotted attending some of his baseball games for the Bradenton Marauders minor league team.
Since then, their relationship has gone from strength to strength and the lovebirds recently enjoyed a trip to New York over the holidays.
And during an appearance in ESPN Sports CenterDunne gushed about her boyfriend Skenes, who joined the Pittsburgh Pirates as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft after a stellar career at LSU, while saying their contrasting personalities mesh perfectly.

Dunne explained why she thinks she and Skenes are a “very good couple” on Sports Center
The LSU gymnast was recently in New York City with her boyfriend over the holiday period.
“He’s pretty level-headed all the time, that’s what I love about him,” she said. “And I think we’re a really good couple because of that, because I have a crazy lifestyle and things go wrong for me all the time.”
‘Sometimes my emotions swing up and down, and he is very balanced. I just think he’s a really good catch.”
Dunne, who has more than 12 million followers on his Instagram and TikTok accounts, is one of the most famous online personalities in American sports, as well as a star gymnast for LSU.

“There’s definitely a strategy behind this,” he admitted. ‘The quarantine was over when it really exploded for me and from then on I had the help of my mom and my sister to manage me and my time and have the right people around me.
Dunne, 21, has 7.8 million followers on TikTok and has become one of the most followed athletes in the US.
“It has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.”
On Thursday, Skenes pitched against a pair of former Orioles first overall picks, Jackson Holliday and Adley Rutschman.
He took out both the first overall pick in 2019, Rutschman, with a fly ball, and the person who preceded him as the first overall pick, Holliday, with a ground ball.
