Olivia Colman is the queen of Burberry in the brand’s latest star-studded campaign.

The actress, 50, who played Queen Elizabeth in series three and four of The Crown, bears a striking resemblance to the late monarch.

In a series of photos published by the fashion giant, Olivia modeled a £1,250 collared corduroy quilted jacket – much like the one Elizabeth loved – and a plaid shirt.

The company reported a 40% drop in sales over the past 12 months, blaming it on a slowdown in demand for luxury clothing.

Barry Keoghan and Cara Delevingne also star in the ad, along with footballer Cole Palmer and actress Zhang Jingyi.

Cara, 32, wowed in a stylish £4,990 bomber jacket, and English footballer Cole, 22, wore a £2,890 cashmere wool duffle coat.

Filmed in London and the British countryside, It’s Always Burberry Weather comprises a series of warm and funny vignettes and portraits.

The family-friendly settings are rooted in Burberry’s history and the outdoors.

Olivia previously admitted her nerves replacing Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth in the Netflix hit.

Claire won an Emmy, a SAG and a Golden Globe during her two series of Peter Morgan’s hit drama, and Olivia felt her influence on set.

“It’s the same as any classic play you do: everyone will have played that role before,” he told EW. ‘The first week, I felt like I was trying to do Claire impressions. “What would she have done?”

‘Maybe it was a stroke of genius that he was doing that. That’s what it was! Yes, that was planned in advance!’

Despite the pressure of the role, Olivia admitted she was “incredibly out of touch” when she got the call about her casting. “The producers said, “So…” (I said), “Yes! Yeah! I’m very excited! Thank you very much!” I loved the first two seasons.’

Peter Morgan admitted in the same interview that Olivia was his first and only choice for the role, although her starring role in The Favorite put a bit of a damper on things. ‘Obviously I would have preferred her not to play another queen before. But it is very different, a very different tone,” he admitted.
