Oliver Hudson admitted that he had been unfaithful to his wife Erinn Bartlett before their wedding in 2006.
In a new episode of him and his sister Kate Hudson Sibling Revelry PodcastOliver, 47, opened up about “cheating” on the actress, 51, and admitted he “never got caught” but instead confessed his infidelity before saying “I do.”
“When I got engaged, something happened psychologically and I lost control, I was unfaithful, I cheated and I was crazy,” he told guest Robyn Lively.

‘I was taking Silkwood showers, you know? She was crying and saying “Oh my God, who am I?” But then go out for a drink or whatever.
A Silkwood shower refers to a long, hot shower taken to disinfect and decontaminate.
“So something was happening to me psychologically,” Oliver added.
Oliver, son of actress Goldie Hawn and musician and actor Bill Hudson, shared that his mother helped him overcome the problems he was experiencing.
“My mother also played a big role in it. Where it’s about looking at the totality and totality of the relationship, not just the action. Although it may seem extreme, let’s dig a little deeper into why and look at the whole person rather than this particular affliction.’
She said she believes he is a “good man” and “not malicious.”
He then shared that he and Erinn were able to overcome their infidelity with the help of therapy.

It comes after he clarified comments he made last week about the ‘childhood trauma’ he faced regarding his mother Goldie.
“My mother was the one I had almost the most trauma with, funnily enough, because she was my primary caregiver and I was with her all the time, so I felt unprotected at times,” he said on the podcast.
And he added: “She would be working.” She had new boyfriends that I didn’t like very much. But then she emphasized that her mother was simply “living her life” and described her as “an amazing mother.”
“This is my own perception as a child who had no father and needed him to be there,” he clarified.

“I don’t know who I would be without my mom. I can’t even imagine it,” Hudson insisted on the podcast.
“The love I have for him and the respect and reverence I have for him goes beyond anything,” he added.
The actor and his sister Kate, 44, were primarily raised by the First Wives Club actress on their own after she split from their biological father Bill in 1980.
Goldie would end up meeting her partner Kurt Russell in 1983, when Oliver was seven years old.
