Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he is still looking for a new striker this summer, despite Edinson Cavani signing a new contract.
Cavani finished the season strong with 10 goals in his last 11 games, and the Uruguayan would stay at United for another year.
Solskjaer is delighted that United have been able to retain the 34-year-old’s services, but stressed that the club will still look to strengthen the attack.

Edinson Cavani, who finished the season in excellent form, has signed a one-year contract extension
Solskjaer told TV2: ‘I’m really glad it happened.
“But that doesn’t mean we aren’t looking for someone who can challenge him or learn from him.” [Cavani].’
Cavani endured some tough moments during the early stages of the season, with injuries not helping him, but he eventually managed to settle in and make a big impact.
Solskjaer expects Cavani to perform at an even higher level next season.
He said: ‘It was very important because we haven’t seen his best yet.
“He came here in October and hadn’t played football for seven months.

“It takes time to get in shape, even if he takes good care of himself.
“He’s had some injuries and little things that were bothering him, and it’s only recently that we’ve started to see some of the best of him.
“If he gets this experience and a run-up, he’ll be better than this year, despite getting older.”
Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, who has scored 57 goals in 59 appearances for the German club, is an option United could consider if they are looking for a striker.
Solskjaer can already call on the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, but is still looking for a new striker.
Midfielder Bruno Fernandes finished the season as United’s top scorer in all competitions with 28 goals, 13 of which were penalties.
