Legendary football player, movie actor and infamous murder suspect OJ Simpson died Thursday at the age of 76 following a battle with prostate cancer, just two months after his last post on who assured fans that he was in “good health.”
In an almost two minute video Posted before the Super Bowl, the controversial superstar addressed those who had asked about his health.
In February, it was revealed that Simpson had prostate cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatments in Las Vegas.
‘Thank you to all the people who reached out to me. My health is good,’ he stated in the video filmed next to a pool.
“I’m obviously dealing with some issues, but I think I’m almost over it now and I’m looking forward to getting back on that golf course in a couple of weeks.”
In a nearly two-minute video he posted before the Super Bowl, the controversial superstar addressed those who had asked about his health.
At the time, he was fighting rumors that he was in hospice care.
On Thursday, his family announced that he had “succumbed to his battle with cancer” while surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
In 2019, on the 25th anniversary of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, for which he was accused before being acquitted, Simpson started a Twitter account.
