Shocking bodycam footage shows the moment a wanted fugitive in Ohio burst into a daycare and pushed children aside as he tried to run from the police, who quickly arrested him in class.
Lamar Mitchell, 39, was wanted by police in Warren, Ohio for a criminal assault when officers tried to conduct a traffic stop and he refused to stop.
Mitchell sped away from the police car and eventually crashed, but instead of turning himself in, he continued to run on foot.

Mitchell came across Precious Times Child Day Care and School. A local mother said her children, who were there, were traumatized
On camera, he can be seen sprinting to Precious Times Child Day Care and School and pushing the door open after an employee tried to close it.
The officer follows close behind and tries to use a stun gun on Mitchell, but misses, allowing him to run further into the nursery and a classroom. Mitchell appeared to be simulating pointing a gun at the cop.
Mitchell heard a box and threw a child in the path of the officers before seemingly giving up on the classroom and lying on his back as officers yelled to “cuff him.”
The officer then hears his colleagues and surrounding teachers say ‘get the kids, please, get the kids’, as several children can be heard in the background.
Mitchell can be heard saying he had no weapons on him. When the officer accused him of throwing a gun, he denied ever having one. He is then carried outside and held on the ground as the video ends.
Mitchell faces a range of charges including aggravated burglary, aggravated threat and non-compliance.
He already has a long list of offenses on his criminal record, dating back to a three-year prison term in 2001 for aggravated theft at age 17; he has been charged with many other crimes, including arson, domestic violence and firing a gun at a school.

One mother, who had a 1-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter in the nursery, said, “I wish they never had to go through that.”
“I was at work, and I dropped everything and ran to nursery,” she said, adding that her son was in the class Mitchell ran into.
“They said he had been knocked over and the daycare worker grabbed him and brought him to safety. And when he jumped in, they grabbed that other kid,” she said, referring to the kid featured in the video.
She believes her daughter is now suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the incident.
“A fire truck came by the road the other day, and she was sitting here on the porch with me covered in her blanket and started shaking and yelling that she had to hide because the police were going to get her,” she recalled.
“She’s just terrified of them now. I tried to explain to her that there is nothing to be afraid of and that they are here to protect her,” she added.
