An Ohio man accused of setting his ‘stepmother’ on fire told police who found the woman badly burned with her ‘broken teeth’ in the backyard that he ‘didn’t know not what had happened”.
The woman, identified as Brenda Scott, who is dating the father of 23-year-old Robbi Davon Robinson Jr, jumped from the second story of their Fairfield Township home.
What led to the woman’s dramatic escape still remains a muddled picture Robinson Jr, is the prime suspect and now in jail awaiting his next court appearance.
Shocking body camera footage shows the horrific scene they encountered when they arrived home to find Scott who appeared to have been doused in gasoline before she jumped in an attempt to escape the flames.

‘I have to breathe! My inhaler is in the house… I can’t breathe, it broke my teeth,’ Scott says as she writhes in pain.
“Severe burns,” the officer said on his police radio. “Back here on the floor – badly burned.”
The officer turns to Scott asking her to stay awake and reassures her that an ambulance is on the way.
He then runs to the front of the house and apprehends Robinson Jr. who protests his innocence.
“I don’t know what happened,” Robinson says.
“Your mother-in-law jumped out the back,” an officer said in body camera footage.
“Oh, she did it?” he replied, apparently surprised.
But the officer handcuffs Robinson, “until I find out what’s going on,” the cop says.
The drama unfolded around 10.30am on Thursday morning when emergency services rushed to the scene following reports that a woman had been set on fire in the backyard of the house.
Robinson, who referred to his father’s girlfriend as his stepmother, was held in Butler County Jail.
He faces charges of first-degree aggravated arson and second-degree felony assault.
A judge has set his bail at $200,000 and his next court appearance is scheduled for May 17.

Scott was discovered by Dennis Williams, a next door neighbor who could see his house from his own property

“It’s the one that makes your hair stand on end, I don’t care how long you do it.”
Scott was discovered by Dennis Williams, a next-door neighbor, who found her lying in his garden.
He had just come home from work and the only thing that warned him of anything wrong was his dog barking more agitated than usual.

Scott was lying on the grass and begging for help.
“I said, ‘What happened, what happened? “Williams told WKRC. ‘ And she said, ‘He set me on fire.’
Williams told police she had been thrown “into the water with gasoline.”
“She just had terrible, terrible burns – I mean, I’m not an expert, but at least half of her body – I mean terrible burns. She wasn’t on fire yet at that point. , but there was a bit of flame next to her that was dying,’ Williams said.
“It was quite traumatic to see and everything that happened, but again, I’m glad I was able to help,” added Williams.
Scott was airlifted to UC Medical Center in critical condition and underwent surgery.
