An off-duty Chicago police officer was obviously down to clown on Halloween night.

Unfortunately for Karina Salgado, 30, her participation in the night's revelry entailed getting drunk, allegedly attacking an on-duty cop after repeatedly getting ejected from a bar, and finally landing behind bars.

Salgado, who has been on the Chicago police force since 2017, was photographed for her booking photo wearing red-and-white clown makeup inspired by the blood-thirsty Pennywise from Stephen King's horror classic 'It.'

According to a report from the local news site CWB Chicago, at around 1am on Friday, a doorman at Charlie's, a western-themed bar and dance club on North Broadway, informed Salgado that she was not welcome at the Boystown drinking establishment.

The off-duty officer, described in a police report as being intoxicated, left after making a second unsuccessful attempt to enter the bar, which was hosting an Into The Woods-themed drag show and costume contest that night.

Salgado was still in the area when police officers confronted the scene, confronted their off-duty colleague and told her she was prohibited from entering the nightclub.
