Ocado, the online grocery retailer, intends to close its customer fulfilment centre in Hertfordshire, leading to 2,300 employment losses.

Online grocer Ocado has announced plans to close its customer processing center in Hertfordshire, affecting around 2,300 employees.

Ocado said it expected no change in the volume of orders fulfilled by closing the center in Hatfield, adding that current customer orders fulfilled from the site will be moved to the company’s other facilities in the UK.
