The New York police will revoke former President Donald Trump’s gun permit following his conviction on 34 charges last week.

A jury on Thursday convicted the former president and presumptive Republican presidential candidate of falsifying business records about payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

ABC News reported Wednesday night that Trump would now lose his gun permit.

He was suspended after Trump was indicted by the Manhattan district attorney last year.

It is unclear when the NYPD will take action.

Under federal and New York state law, convicted felons cannot possess any type of firearm.

Trump will be sentenced on July 11 and must surrender all weapons before that date.

The former president is in tune with the Republican Party by being a strong defender of Second Amendment rights.

He said in 2012 interview with Emily Miller for The Washington Times who had a concealed carry permit for a Heckler & Koch HK45 and a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson.

Trump could get the guns back if his appeal is successful.

The former president received an endorsement from the National Rifle Association last month in Texas.

At the event, he said his rival, President Joe Biden, would take away members’ guns if the Democrat wins re-election.

‘They want to take away your rights. I know it better than anyone. They want to take away my rights better than anyone…worse than Alphonse Capone. “Al Capone was accused twice,” he said.

In addition to his conviction, Trump has been charged in three additional criminal cases.

None of them are expected to go to trial before Election Day in November.

Trump was charged in Fulton County, Georgia, with interfering in the 2020 election.

He was also indicted by special prosecutor Jack Smith for interference in the 2020 election and mishandling classified documents.
