A crazed woman was caught brutally slapping a tourist after kicking kennels inside a New York City pet store over the weekend.

Shocking footage shows the moment the deranged customer launched her attack in Citipups, Chelsea, against a woman visiting from Texas, leaving her visibly shaken.

The NYPD told DailyMail.com that the victim was left with a bloody nose after the rampage on Saturday afternoon, and the violent customer also assaulted another woman in the store moments before.

“The first victim, a 45-year-old woman, states that while she was inside the location looking at the cubs, an unknown female approached her and proceeded to grab her hand,” the department said.

The suspect then grabbed the phone from the victim’s hand, causing pain in the victim’s hand. The second victim claims the suspect slapped her face with an open hand, causing pain, swelling and bleeding in her nose.

The NYPD said the suspect fled the store and has not yet been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.

Video captured by store manager Emilio Ortiz shows the irate customer stomping towards him before aggressively punching him.

He can be heard saying ‘what’s wrong with you?’ and ‘get out of here’ as she walks away with a stony expression.

She walks toward the exit, pausing briefly to audibly slap another woman with excessive force.

The assault elicits a gasp from the manager and screams from several people in the store.

He briefly turns to the customers as he opens the door, appearing to spit in their direction before fleeing.

The attack was also captured from another angle by surveillance cameras, showing her kicking the puppies’ kennels moments before.

A store employee notices her behavior and calmly approaches, but she responds by yelling at him with her face millimeters from his.

She confronts the employee before another staff member escorts her.

Surveillance footage above the exit also shows the slap victim looking shocked and upset after the assault.

A man in the store could be seen comforting the slap victim and positioning himself as if to protect her from further potential attacks.

“She was bleeding, her nose was bleeding, she was really distraught because it was her first time in New York,” manager Ortiz told the New York Post.

“So she was a tourist, and it’s like, imagine it’s your first day in New York, you’re walking around and suddenly some crazy guy attacks you.”

He added that the attack was “completely unprovoked” and that the victim was visiting from Texas.

Ortiz said he believed the suspect was having “some kind of manic episode or something.”
