Date:

Yesterday, New York City officials proudly unveiled their latest offer to residents – a free “public health” vending machine dispensing crack pipes, the anti-overdose drug Narcan and blood test strips. fentanyl.

The Brownsville, Brooklyn machine is the first of its kind in New York. City Democrats hailed it as a watershed moment for public health, calling a press conference to tout their initiative and promise more down the line.

To access the contents of the machine, residents need only enter the correct postal code.

Then they will have free access to strips, Narcan, condoms, tampons, nicotine gum, first aid kits and “safer smoking kits”, sanitary napkins, vitamin C tests and COVID-19.

The kits, produced by SmokeWorksPipes.com, contain a “heavy duty stem, mouthpiece, pusher, 6 screens, chore filter, and lip balm.” Although this machine does not contain them, New York officials say they will soon add syringes.

They may be free for residents – but each machine will cost the city $11,000. We do not know how many are planned.

“We are in the midst of an overdose crisis in our city, which takes a fellow New Yorker away from us every three hours and is a major cause of declining life expectancy in New York. But we will continue to fight to keep our neighbors and loved ones alive with care, compassion and action.

“We will leave no stone unturned until we reverse the trends in opioid-related deaths in our city,” Health Commissioner Dr Ashwin Vasan said proudly yesterday.

But some townspeople and Republicans are appalled that their tax dollars are being spent to facilitate drug use.

“This, my friends, is another reason why Democrat-run cities are hellholes!”

‘Get your free crack pipes thanks to taxpayers!! Madness!!! NYC vending machine offers free Narcan drug test strips,” one said.

‘What could go wrong?’ says another.

“I guess nobody eats candy bars anymore… Remember when Narcan was supposed to be used only by trained professionals?” asked another jaded New Yorker.

‘These people are morons. They give crack pipes, needles will be next, and Narcan.

“How about just giving the Narcan and not the crack pipe and the needles?” another fumed.
