The hashtag ‘cowboy core’ is trending on TikTok, with more than 11 million views, and on the resale site Depop, there have been a major spike in searches for cowboy-approved attire, from boots to fringe.
To find out how you can recreate the denim core at home without looking like you’re about to hop on a horse, FEMAIL spoke to her former stylist, Ty Hunter, and fashion experts about how to embrace fashion in a super chic way.

Rihanna sported a cowboy hat when she appeared on the cover of Vogue China in March.
It’s not just the Texas Hold ‘Em singer who is adopting this trend: fans are obsessed and of pop has seen an 83 percent increase in searches for “western boots” and a 58 percent increase in searches for fringe.
Another cowboy-approved outfit back in action?
The Canadian tuxedo – or double denim – with people looking for denim jackets and matching pants.
Fringe is also expected to end in 2024, with a 58 percent search increase in the last three weeks alone.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is embracing her inner yee haw: The superstar covered Vogue China in a dazzling cowboy hat.
This isn’t the first time cowboy-inspired clothing has become a trend: coastal cowgirl and Western minimalism were popular in 2023, with people showing off this niche aesthetic on social media.
But much of the current denim craze is due to Beyoncé’s latest release and the excitement over her long-awaited country album, which came out Friday.
Celebrity Wardrobe Stylist Dr. Pilar Rasca told FEMAIL: ‘Beyoncé’s country-themed album is making a cowboy splash and trending.’
Pilar recalled style trends that Beyoncé has sparked in the past, “like camouflage fashion and combat boots” in her Survivor music video, which was styled by Hunter.
Pilar added that even last year, fans dressed in silver in an effort to emulate the ‘alien chic’ looks she wore on tour.

If you’re interested in channeling your inner cowgirl, Pilar said cowboy boots were the best way to take to the countryside and keep it nice.
“You can pair them with an all-black outfit or with a blazer,” the stylist revealed, also suggesting leather leggings tucked into boots with a fitted top and a denim jacket.
‘Keep the rest of your outfit simple and let the boots make a statement.
‘Another suggestion to embrace the country trend is to accessorize with a belt with a distinctive buckle. It’s an added touch, but any rodeo-inspired belt buckle will be a style plus.’
And if you’re interested in wearing a Canadian tuxedo, Pilar explained, “the key to achieving a denim-on-denim look is to ensure that both pieces of denim complement each other.”
Ty Hunter, the stylist behind some of Queen B’s most iconic looks, discussed how to embrace ranch dressing in a new way.
Ty weighed in on the denim trend, saying he would recommend “incorporating Western elements into your current wardrobe by mixing them with modern pieces.”

Ty has been behind some of Beyoncé’s biggest looks, from the Tina Knowles-designed Single Ladies jumpsuit to the absolutely iconic denim shorts and white crystal tank top combo in the Crazy in Love music video.
The stylist named both as examples “of looks that really resonated with fans and sparked a wave of recreations,” as he told DailyMail.com: “It’s always amazing to see the creativity and passion of Beyoncé fans when they bring these looks iconic to life.’
Now, Ty is weighing in on the core cowboy trend, saying he would recommend “incorporating Western elements into your existing wardrobe by mixing them with modern pieces,” such as pairing “a classic cowboy hat with a stylish jacket and jeans, or wearing a Western style.” . inspired belt with a flowy dress.’
Ty believes nostalgia is one of the main reasons for the rise of country fashion, adding: “It conjures up images of open spaces, adventure and a simpler way of life.”

While Starr’s folks have seen many Western trends come and go since their launch in the ’60s, the designer said, “This is the biggest one ever, as stars like Beyoncé have fused Western influence into their music.”
If someone who isn’t interested in the cowboy scene wants to start wearing their own Queen B-inspired outfits, Iasmim suggested investing in a good pair of bootcut jeans, a pair of simple boots, a cowboy hat, and a Western shirt.
“Mixing and matching the clothes you currently have with some Western pieces is the new urban Western trend right now,” the designer said.
“The key to wearing cowboy boots in a stylish way, without feeling like I’m dressed up, is to offset the yee-haw factor a little,” Shana joked, and Maren Morris (above) is an example.
