NSW Police issue warning to Taylor Swift fans ahead of Sydney Eras concert: ‘It will not be tolerated’

More than 300,000 Swifties are expected to flock to Sydney’s Accor Stadium this weekend for the long-awaited Eras Tour concert.

NSW Police are encouraging thousands of concert-goers to plan ahead for the weekend to avoid last-minute stress.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Andrew Holland announced that “additional shuttle services will be available this weekend and we encourage concertgoers to use them.”

Police operations will be implemented from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26 to ensure the safety of all attendees and staff.

With large crowds expected, Acting Deputy Commissioner Holland urged those without tickets to stay away from the stadium to avoid unwanted congestion.

More than 300,000 Swifties are expected to flock to Sydney’s Accor Stadium this weekend for the long-awaited Eras Tour concert.

Holland went on to say: “Anti-social behavior will not be tolerated and the police will act fairly but firmly to ensure everyone has a good time, but not at the expense of other people’s safety, so please look out for each other.” .

It comes as super fans are in hysterics over the prospect of severe weather canceling their upcoming shows in Sydney.

Rumors have been circulating ahead of the second leg of Taylor’s Australian tour after the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning.

Police in New South Wales are encouraging thousands of concert-goers to plan ahead for the weekend to avoid last-minute stress.

Heavy rain, damaging winds and large hail are expected across much of New South Wales on Friday and Saturday, placing a question mark over Taylor’s first and second Sydney shows.

However, Taylor has only canceled two shows in the history of her 16-year career: one in 2011, when she had bronchitis, and another in 2014 due to the military coup in Thailand.

Taylor is no stranger to performing in the rain and several performances on her Eras Tour took place during storms; a small delay is the most likely outcome.

The worst case scenario is that Friday and Saturday night concerts in Sydney are rescheduled.

Police operations will be implemented from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26 to ensure the safety of all attendees and staff.

Accor Stadium has stated that events will go ahead regardless of rain, hail or shine, unless there is a risk to the performer’s safety.

Sydney’s Accor Stadium is partially covered depending on where your seat is located.

While umbrellas can be brought into the stadium, you cannot use them in your seats as this could cause discomfort to those around you.
