Novak Djokovic has confirmed he will participate in the US Open this year after recovering from the coronavirus – but admitted that the decision to fly to the tournament was not an easy one.
World No. 1 will land in New York on August 15th and will also become part of the bio-safe bubble introduced to help protect players during the pandemic.
Djokovic has been heavily criticized in recent weeks after admitting to being against vaccinations and holding a tournament that saw a large number of contenders sign Covid-19.
