Nova radio host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wippa crashed Ray Hadley’s honeymoon this week.

Wippa, 41, hilariously surprised Ray at the breakfast buffet at their resort on Hayman Island, in the Whitsundays, Queensland.

Wippa enjoys a break there with wife Lisa and their family, as well as close friend Zoe Foster Blake and husband Hamish Blake, while Ray is there on his honeymoon with new wife Sophie Baird.

A video shows Wippa surprises Ray in the buffet restaurant.

‘Oh good day Ray, how are you buddy ?! Here on behalf of the Ben Fordham program, ”Wippa said.

“He’s given me an assignment here to make sure the honeymoon goes well … sorry Soph is bothering him. How are you?’

Ray, 66, grinned but had a hilarious response to Wippa.

“It went really damn well until you showed up,” he said dryly.

Wippa then further teased Ray, telling them to enjoy some island activities together.

“What’s the plan for today, buddy, should we go diving, snorkeling or fishing?” he joked.

Ray surprised all the plans and answered dryly, “No.”

The plan to crash the honeymoon was arranged by radio star and journalist Ben Fordham.

I said The Daily Telegraph that he couldn’t help but “wake up Ray” with the help of Wippa.

“Ray has been known to describe Wippa as a ‘plague,’ although deep down I know he likes him,” said Ben.

He jokingly added, “Ray and Sophie are so lucky to have Wippa share this special week with them. When Ray needs sunscreen, I wonder if he turns to Sophie or Wippa? ‘

Wippa and his Nova radio co-star Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald have long fooled Ray.

Fitzy called up for Ray’s show and said he had a surprise for him, a special rendition of Ginuwine’s hit single, Pony, performed by the boy band. Ray eventually got involved and started dancing to the tune.
