Nottingham Forest are being “silly” with their statement criticizing the referees against Everton, Ian Ladyman claimed on everything is beginning.
Forest became embroiled in controversy at the weekend when the club’s official X account shared a post criticizing the referee in their 2-0 defeat on Sunday.
“Three extremely bad decisions – three penalties not imposed – that we simply cannot accept,” the post said. ‘We notify the PGMOL that the VAR [Stuart Attwell] He’s a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested several times. The NFFC will now consider its options.’
It is not the first time that clubs or club officials have publicly questioned officials this season, and Liverpool and Arsenal have also spoken out against referees.
“I’m sorry, it’s dangerous,” Ladyman said of the statement.

“It’s dangerous and it was when Liverpool did it in October. It was dangerous when Mikel Arteta did it a few weeks later and it’s dangerous now.
‘What this has done is strip Forest of any sympathy they might have had after three decisions that seemed quite complicated.
“We are talking about a great football club, a club with a great history, a club whose history has been littered with some of the greatest characters our sport has ever seen, and who are now making fools of themselves.”
‘If I were a Forest fan this morning, instead of waking up thinking: “Wow, we got robbed yesterday”, I’d wake up feeling embarrassed about what my own football club is playing.
‘It seemed as if everyone had been informed about it. I’m not saying it was, I don’t know, but it felt like everyone was ordered to sing the same depressing, self-pitying song.
Meanwhile, Chris Sutton agreed with his co-host and questioned the motive behind Mark Clattenburg’s decision to defend his team in a column with Mail Sport.
Former Premier League manager Clattenburg works as a referee analyst at Forest, the only one in the Premier League, and criticizes the referees working the match.
Forest were denied three penalties in their defeat to Everton, leaving them fighting for their place in the Premier League.

“In fact, I think he’s done some damage to his reputation.” I really, really believe it. I don’t understand where he’s going with that,” Sutton began.
“And some of the things he said yesterday, the last part of his statement… “referees don’t deliberately make mistakes, but it was mind-blowing to see why.” [Stuart] Attwell didn’t send Taylor to his screen, only he will know.” That’s loaded.
‘You need to go out and address that. I feel safe [VAR official for the game] Stuart Attwell in this situation. Turn it around, how would Mark Clattenburg feel as an official if someone questioned his professional integrity?
He added: “The first line of the statement was that they told the PGMOL that Stuart Attwell was a Luton fan. Are they really not concentrating on what really matters? If you are distracted by a VAR official, heaven help you like football club”.
