An Australian influencer went out of her way to troll Taylor Swift on Monday as the superstar landed on her private jet at Sydney airport.
Conservative political commentator Kobie Thatcher joined a small group of fans in criticizing Taylor over the megastar’s attacks on former US President Donald Trump.
Standing alongside a group of young fans who braved the wet weather, Kobie could be seen holding a sign that read: “Swifties for Trump.”
The outspoken social media identity later posted an image of his protest to X.
Thatcher told her followers: “I’m certainly not a fan of yours, but I decided to give Trump-hating Taylor Swift a proper welcome when she landed on her private jet in Sydney today.”

Thatcher’s post divided X users.
“What a sad, miserable life you must live, Kobie,” wrote one angry Swiftie, while another agreed: “Imagine what a sad life you must have to do this.”
“It’s good that you’re near a hydrant so you can put out the dumpster fire that is your sad life,” added another.
“Nothing like ruining a young fan’s day with your presence.”
Taylor made headlines in 2020 for a tweet she posted attacking then-President Trump for “fanning the fires of white supremacy and racism” during his time in the Oval Office.
Thatcher’s post received a large number of negative comments from X users.
But others approved of Thatcher’s attempt to overshadow Taylor.
“Haha you make my day Kobie, I’d love to see your reaction,” X Skye user Trumps Spy messaged.
Another of Thatcher’s supporters congratulated her on her “bravery” and asked her if she “took the abuse” from her fans.
“There is no abuse, but don’t think some of the journalists had too much fun,” Thatcher replied.

Thatcher attracted some supporters for her controversial attempt to overshadow Taylor.
The Shake It Off singer took to social media to condemn Trump for his comments about the violence that erupted after the police-related shooting death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
‘After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism for his entire presidency, he has the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will expel him in November. @realdonaldtrump,” Swift wrote in the tweet.
Thatcher has gained a following as a critic of “wokeness” on social media.
She has been particularly outspoken about Australia’s response to COVID, Indigenous issues and LGBQT issues.
