McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts and Wendy’s often compete for the top spot for a fast-food breakfast in the U.S.
Local independent coffee shops and national chains like Starbucks also compete for your money in the morning.
But a little-known chain called Biscuitville finished first in USA Today Authorized Ratingsas voted by readers.
Del Taco came in second, Jack in the Box came in third and last year’s runner-up, McDonald’s, fell to fourth. Dunkin’ rounded out the top five. Biscuitville had also been on top last year.
“Who doesn’t love a delicious biscuit-based breakfast?” USAToday said.
Biscuitville has been named the best breakfast chain in the prestigious USA Today ranking
With locations in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, Biscuitville’s fresh-baked biscuits can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, from simple bacon, egg and cheese biscuits or fried chicken to more elaborate breakfast sandwiches like their pimento cheese biscuit, jalapeño popper and spicy chicken.
‘With breakfast dishes and sides of grits, hash browns or homemade salsa, plus delicious sweets like their blueberry muffin, it’s no wonder people come back again and again.’
The classic North Carolina breakfast treat dates back to 1966 in Burlington, when two stores opened under the name Mountainbrook Fresh Bread & Milk.
Nine years later, the first Biscuitville opened in 1975 in Danville, Virginia, and branches followed soon after in North Carolina. Today, there are more than 50 locations.
In the same USA Today ranking, Chick-fil-A was dethroned as America’s favorite fast food restaurant by KFC and Del Taco.
Last year, Chick-fil-A ranked first in USA Today Rankings.
This year, KFC and Del Taco were kind of dark horses. Neither of them appeared in the previous top ten. But this time, they didn’t just make the list, they rose to the top.
Biscuitville serves sausage, eggs, cheese and bacon on biscuits.
Meanwhile, earlier this week it emerged that Taco Bell will be expanding its use of artificial intelligence voice technology in its drive-thrus, it announced Wednesday.
The technology will be rolled out to hundreds of U.S. stores by the end of the year, according to parent company Yum! Brands. saying.
This means that when customers walk up to order a Cheesy Gordita Crunch or a Chicken Quesadilla, there’s a good chance they’ll be talking to an AI instead of a person.
Taco Bell’s expansion of its technology comes weeks after rival McDonald’s announced it would completely eliminate automated chatbots from its drive-thru locations.
