Police and paramedics were called to Hardy Street in North Bondi at 9.20am, following reports that a woman was found unconscious inside a unit.

Two men have been charged with serious crimes after the body of a young woman was found in an apartment in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Emergency services were called to the unit on Hardy Street in North Bondi, where police discovered the 19-year-old woman’s body about 9.20am on Tuesday.

Despite the work of the paramedics, they were unable to revive her.

NSW Police subsequently arrested a 32-year-old man at the scene.

Following investigations, officers executed a search warrant at an address on nearby Flood Street in Bondi at around 5.10pm on Tuesday.

“During the search, police seized 1 gram of methylamphetamine and cannabis at the scene,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

‘Police also arrested a 34-year-old man at the address who was also taken to Waverley police station.

The 34-year-old man was charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited drug.

‘The 32-year-old man was charged with the outstanding warrant for theft worth less than or equal to $2,000, three counts of entering a vehicle or boat without the consent of the owner/occupant, destroying or damaging property less than or equal to $2,000, hindering or resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty, and property suspected of being stolen from or on the premises,” the NSW Police spokesperson added.

He was refused bail to appear at Downing Center Local Court on Wednesday, while the 34-year-old was issued a country court attendance notice to appear at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday, June 18. of 2024.

“A crime scene has been established and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” a statement from New South Wales Police said.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of his death.
