Katy Perry suffered a wardrobe malfunction backstage at American Idol this week when she got stuck in her scarlet dress.
The 39-year-old pop artist wowed viewers during the broadcast in a $7,400 Bottega Veneta dress that plunged to flaunt her voluptuous assets.
However, in a new Instagram video, she revealed that the high-octane glamor of the look became a liability once she reached her dressing room.
In the video, Katy could be seen sadly sitting in a chair with her dress pulled up, after unsuccessfully trying to get out of it.
“I can’t get out of this dress,” she moaned, and when a crew member suggested they “cut it off,” she sighed: “You can’t just… cut Bottega…”

The Bottega Veneta dress, which shoppers can snag on Net-a-Porter for a cool $7,400, featured a pleated skirt and a raised lapel.
He recently announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she will leave American Idol after this season, that she is the seventh on the show.
Last year, she was frequently criticized online and accused of ‘bullying’ due to her saucy on-air comments to contestants.
DailyMail.com exclusively reported then that she was on the verge of leaving the ABC reality show, feeling producers had “thrown her under the bus” and positioned her as the series’ “nasty judge.”
Katy’s latest American Idol wardrobe malfunction came two years after she went viral for accidentally ripping her leather pants while filming the show.
At the time, she was performing her old hit Teenage Dream alongside fellow American Idol judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
Her costume included a pair of tight red leather pants, which ripped dramatically as she twirled in her choreography.

Katy called for help and some crew members arrived with duct tape to help her cover the affected area and continue with the show.
On a personal level, Katy has spent the last eight years with Hollywood dreamer Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares her three-year-old daughter Daisy.
Orlando’s clothing choices went viral in 2016 when photos emerged of him completely naked while paddle boarding with Katy off the coast of Sardinia.
Katy later revealed the The Kyle and Jackie O Show that Orlando had also wanted her to go naked on the paddling excursion, but that she “wasn’t in the mood.”
When the photos surfaced, social media went into a frenzy over the size of Orlando’s manhood, but a few years later he assured Howard Stern, “It’s really not that big.”
On the Shock Jock radio show, Orlando explained: ‘Things are magnified with cameras with a large optical lens. It’s an optical illusion.’
Orlando gleefully recalled, “The publicist called to say, ‘That’s not the worst thing. “First of all, there were photographs with a block on top.”
He continued: ‘And you make some jokes like, “Do you have a black box big enough to cover?” And suddenly you realize that someone is going to discover the black box because they are going to get paid enough. It’s a triple whammy: photos, black box and then no black box.’
