A Miami judge has issued an inflexible no-bail order to an Instagram influencer who killed two people after being involved in a drug-impaired crash.
Maecee Marie Lathers, 24, made the irrational decision to drive under the influence of a party drug known as “tuci,” a new designer drug that comes in the form of a pink powder containing a mixture of psychoactive substances.
That choice would result in the tragic deaths of Abraham Molina and Jesus Rubio after she crashed her Mercedes into their car at nearly 80 mph on August 10.
Miami-Dade Judge Teresa Mary Pooler ruled Monday that the glamorous influencer would remain in jail.

WPLG Local 10 footage inside the courtroom showed Lathers visibly distraught with her head in her hands once she heard Miami-Dade Judge Teresa Mary Pooler’s no-bail order.
Pooler said, “I think she’s extremely dangerous,” and said it was easy for someone under house arrest to cut off their ankle monitor and run away.
This came after Lathers’ defense attorney, Martez Gordon, asked for her to be released to house arrest again after arguing that the defense felt the state failed to present new evidence at Monday’s hearing. NBC 6 reported.
She had previously been granted this protection after posting bail, but was sent back to prison on September 10.
Pooler said of his order: ‘I think it’s extremely dangerous.
“As much as I respect house arrest, if someone wants to leave, they can. It’s as simple as taking off the bracelet and walking away.”
Pooler’s office did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
In court on Monday, state prosecutors showed body camera footage of the aftermath of the crash.
In the footage, Lathers can be heard telling officers he was drinking ‘tuci.’
Prosecutors added two more murder charges to the already extensive list of charges he faced — a total of 10 felonies.
Lathers wasn’t even supposed to be behind the wheel on that fateful day, as his license had been suspended since January.
Lathers had previously been granted house arrest after posting bail, but was sent back to prison on September 10.

Hernandez wrote that the money would go to Molina’s 16-year-old son and his mother in Nicaragua, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease.
