‘No contract has been sent out’: Eddie Hearn denies Tyson Fury’s claim about Anthony Joshua talks, but admits Gypsy King camp have made contact over potential fight

Eddie Hearn has denied Tyson Fury’s claim that he sent Anthony Joshua a draft contract for a fight in September.
Fury took to social media on Friday to claim he was back in talks with Joshua and had made a serious offer.
‘A few days ago I sent a draft contract to Anthony Joshua for a fight in September [at] Wembley Stadium is a fight everyone wants to see including myself,’ Fury tweeted.
‘Come of AJ gives the world what it wants to see. This time, I’m not going to make a million videos and keep pushing. the ball is now on your side.
“I don’t want to ruffle anyone, but at the same time I think it’s important to tell you what’s going on and I also don’t want anyone trying to make Anthony Joshua look bad for no reason,” said Hearn at IFL TV. .

“First of all, we haven’t received any contract. No contract has been sent.
“Tyson Fury came out last night and said, ‘I sent Anthony Joshua’s team the contract,’ he didn’t, his team didn’t, we didn’t get it. no contract for a fight in September.
“Tuesday or Wednesday, George Warren emailed me and said, ‘Listen, would you be interested in a fight in September? We have already discussed the terms. We don’t think it will be that hard to do. What are your thoughts?”
“I immediately called George Warren and said, ‘Listen, we’re planning our August fight and obviously we’re in negotiations in Saudi Arabia for the [Deontay Wilder] fight in December.
“If we can’t shake that pattern, we’d be more than happy to watch a fight against Tyson Fury.”

“Honestly nothing else to tell you at this stage other than no contract has been sent to us but we are speaking to George Warren and if our plans do not materialize we would of course be open to discussing a fight with Tyson Fury.
Fury and Joshua had been locked in talks over a Battle of Britain fight last year, but talks fell apart after the Gypsy King grew impatient waiting for AJ to sign the contract.
Negotiations over the highly anticipated fight had been going on for months before both sides declared the fight – which was supposed to take place on December 3, 2022 – officially called off.
